Making Cylinders

After we went on our Shape Hunt around the room we were given a piece of A4 paper to decorate and make into a cylinder.  We decorated our cylinders and then discussed what we could use our cylinders for.  Some people decided that their cylinders were telescopes, exhausts, birds, microphones and plaster casts.  Here are some pictures of our creations.image image image image image image

On Thursday 24th July, Oatlands Primary School held a special OATGAMES DAY to celebrate the Commonwealth Games. All the Prep children were representing ‘Australia’ and we wore ‘gold and green’ clothing. We looked fantastic. We walked in the parade in the gym waving our colourful Australian flags and then we sat down to watch the other classes. After the parade, we walked out to the oval and played lots of different sport games like tunnel ball, bean bag throwing, parachuting and hurdles. We had sooooo much fun! Have a look at our photos taken at the OATGAMES and feel free to leave a comment for us to read 🙂
